Can you truly lose 7 pounds in 7 days or is it just a myth that diet writers have created to sell you all their diet programmes?
I have often wondered and that is why I decided to find out whether it was theory or fact once and for all.
The obese lady decided to see if they were right…….
I grabbed hold of lots of different weight loss diets and put each of them to the test. To see if any of them could yield the results that so many of them constantly talk about. At the time my BMI was just over 30 and I therefore fitted into the obesity category. The perfect candidate for these extreme diets.
7lbs in 7 days seemed a lot to me. A newborn baby weighs this much and to lose that amount in a week seems crazy. But at the same time if you want to lose a total of 7 stone then 14 weeks of it and you are at target.
Surely that would be the case wouldn’t it?
I then set to work and put up with the restrictions that each of them offered for the sake of that I MIGHT JUST lose 7 pounds in 7 days.
It was a long experiment, but at the same time it gave me a lot more knowledge of how our bodies work and how we function and react to certain types of food.
This was all done during the summer of 2013. When things like Ben & Jerry’s and McDonalds normally get in the way of how much weight I normally lose.
All these diets promised a 7lbs weight loss in 7 days and I wanted to see if that was the case or not.
When I started this experiment I was focused therefore I didn’t cheat and I gave it my all.
Then the results came in
Each time I started and ended one of the diets I would weigh myself just to see what kind of results I could get. It was rather interesting and lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I was also asked by one of my readers if I would do it again, after what I have learned and the truth is I would as it was a great adventure to go on, though it often felt like I was taking part in a rollercoaster ride!
