Yes! You can lose weight just by being good two days a week…..
I am no saint and I love the foods that we shouldn’t have. Off the top of my head I am thinking about the homemade chicken liver pate in the fridge that Dominic added extra butter to, the tub of Ben & Jerry’s that is sat in the freezer. Or there is the catering supply of Kit Kats that we have stored in our utility.
At the same time I find that I eat healthy the majority of the time. I love avocados, I wish that I could live off strawberries forever and I wish Dominic liked red peppers as I would serve them in every meal if he liked them!
The 5:2 Diet
But its also striking up a balance and that’s why the 5:2 diet has become so popular. You simply eat whatever takes your fancy for 5 days a week, then for two days you limit yourself to 500 calories (though men get a few extra than us ladies) and it gives your body a chance to recover from whatever you have eaten that shouldn’t have and gives you chance to lose weight on a part time basis.
Many of us fail on our diets in the first week. The reason often for this is that committing to a strict diet for 7 days can be hard work – yet do it for two and you have success.
