Welcome to my stage 7 of learning to walk before you can run Podcasts at My Weight Loss Dream.
I originally started them (and created them myself) early in 2015 after looking up the NHS couch to 5km and realising it was WAY too difficult for someone obese like myself. I am no longer obese now, but I still felt that they were too much for my level of fitness so instead created my own.
These Podcasts are recorded in advance just because I am scared of running out of content, as I try to keep up my running journey. I completed stage 7 at the end of June and when I look back now in October I can’t believe what I can do now compared to then and how quickly our bodies get used to what we put them through.
No matter what your level of fitness is we can all start somewhere and we can all get fit it is just about starting and getting the ball rolling.
What’s Included In Learning To Run Stage 7
With stage 7 it is all about you taking charge of your own running. We all develop our fitness levels differently and do it in different conditions.
For example I go from doing it in the countryside with lots of uphills to going around our local running track where it is completely flat. Then sometimes I am not up early enough so I end up doing it when it is mega hot which is very hard and then other times it is incredibly windy.
So the plan here with stage 7 is to see how far you can run without any walking and then you can get a better idea of how your fitness levels are coming along.
You can listen to the Podcast to see how I progressed and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
