Bye Bye January and the month of the year when we all get super obsessed with our diets and our weight loss programmes. There is the fasting, the detoxes, reducing calories, brand new gym memberships and then there are others that think that there is always February!
For me it was a month to get over my naughty behaviour over Christmas and to realise that December shouldn’t be a month of bad bingeing. Though I think my blog readers agreed with me as I received 75% less blog readers during December (when we are all off getting fat) compared to in January when we are all on our best behaviour.
Here is what I got up to in January:
Weight Loss = 2.5 Kilos/5.5 pounds
It’s not a stone (14 pounds) like it is for a lot of people that are on a diet manage to achieve. But for me, its still a steady weight loss and I am proud to have made a start to a new me. I also gained a lot over Christmas so to say that I am still a couple of pounds below my pre-Christmas weight makes me smile J
I am not including the calories burned from breastfeeding, though if I did that would probably work out at about 9000 calories. Though, its very hard to work out the EXACT amount.
I did start my exercise regime in the last week. This included some cycling on the exercise bike in the park, walking around the park and getting back into my Wii Fit & Wii Zumba. I counted all the calories I burned and over a month it worked out at 2151.
Our January Diaries
If you have not read what I’ve eaten this month and what I’ve been up to this month then you can find out more below:
- Bootcamp In A Bottle – 5 pound weight loss
- 7 Day Detox Diet – 4.5 pound weight loss
- What Happens After You Follow A Detox Programme – 0.5 pound weight gain
I have tried to behave myself to a certain extent this month, but with a big love for fast food and chocolate it has been a hard task. I have been to the local fast food bar twice (the Portuguese version of Burger King), I have ventured out to McDonalds, been out for meals and cooked a lot of meals too. Then there was my wedding anniversary and this involved more chocolate than a normal person would have in three months.
I must admit I binged!!!!
So, to say off the back of that I lost 5.5 pounds is amazing J
Plans for next month
Next month (or this month as it is now) is going to be about trying out new things and looking at new weight loss experiments. As I am increasing my exercise this month, I am hoping for a seven pound weight loss this month so that I can be well on the way to my summer weight loss targets.
