Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has revealed the secrets behind her incredible post baby weight loss after giving birth to her daughter Rose in September 2014.
The actress who is known for her amazing figure has said that her post-baby weight loss is down to a combination of breastfeeding, a healthy diet and rigorous strength-training workouts.
This combination of diet, exercise and breast feeding certainly seems to have worked wonders on Scarlett Johansson who was back in shape and looking fabulous less than three months after giving birth to her beautiful daughter.
Speaking in an interview with Barbara Walters during the talk show hosts annual “10 most fascinating people of 2014”, Scarlett Johansson said: “[Breastfeeding is] the best way to get back in shape,”
She added: “I’m nursing and I love it.”
But Scarlett Johansson is not the only celebrity who has shouted about the benefits of breast feeding to help with post baby weight loss. Kristin Cavallari also managed to lose 20 pounds in under two months after the birth of her second son and she put this weight loss success down to breastfeeding which is known to burn between 300 and 500 calories per day.
Scarlett Johansson secretly married her French journalist boyfriend Romain Dauriac a month after giving birth to her daughter and has been raving about the benefits of being a mother. She has described being a mother as being “magical” and added that “The love is just unbelievable, it’s very overwhelming.”
Scarlett Johansson is used to working out in the gym and living well to maintain her enviable figure. In the past she said she prefers weight-lifting to cardio exercise because she found that using weights helped her to tone her muscles and give her a total-body workout which she can’t get from doing cardio exercises alone.
“I do the same fitness routine as my big muscle-man trainer,” said Scarlett. “A lot of it is endurance, stability, and strength training. I like to work up a sweat.”
Johansson added that in the past she has dabbled in Pilates and in taking part in yoga classes but that she always finds herself turning back to the strength-training because she enjoys an athletic, intense, full-body workout.
Luckily Scarlett is able to keep up her love of working out and eating well while also being a full time mother and Hollywood A-lister!
