Scarlett Johansson only gave birth to her child a mere seven months ago but she is looking slim and toned with her new figure on show at the MTV Movie Awards.
The Hollywood actress is known as much for her womanly figure and curves as she is for her acting roles and Scarlett Johansson stepped out at the MTV Movie Awards looking stunning in a hot pink jumpsuit.
Scarlett Johansson showed off her incredible dramatic weight loss at the awards and showed that she must have been working hard to sculpt such an enviable figure in such a short time since giving birth.
Scarlett Johansson gave birth to her first child with husband Roman Dauriac in September and was the talk of the awards show as she hit the red carpet in her pink, figure hugging jumpsuit that clung to her curves and tiny looking waistline.
But it has not been all about changing her diet and increasing her exercise regime, instead Scarlett Johansson has credited breast feeding for helping her to lose her post baby weight.
She told Barbara Walters in her first TV interview since giving birth that she was loving nursing her baby and that it also had benefits for weight loss.
“[Breastfeeding is] the best way to get back in shape,” she said before adding: “[I do] the whole bit. I’m nursing and I love it.”
But breast feeding alone was not enough to help Scarlett Johansson transform her figure so dramatically in such a short few months and she told style.com that she was focusing on a hev fitness regime to get into shape.
Scarlett Johansson said: “I do the same fitness routine as my big muscle-man trainer.
“A lot of it is endurance, stability, and strength training. I like to work up a sweat. I’ve tried Pilates and yoga and all that, and I like to dabble in different things, but I always come back to a good old-fashioned athletic, full-body workout.”
Losing weight after giving birth can be difficult if you do not have the resources of a Hollywood star such as Scarlett Johansson but it is possible to combine breast feeding with exercise and a healthy diet to help to promote steady weight loss.
If you are not able to breast feed a new born child then you will have more freedom with the food you eat but it is always important not to push yourself too hard after giving birth and new mums who have any doubts should always consult their doctor first before undertaking a new exercise and diet plan.
