Hey guys! Today I am blogging on behalf of Nutrift Clean Eating, but the views expressed here are ours and the stories are ours. To learn more, visit the www.nutrifitcleaneating.com website.
I know there is no quick fix way to lose weight, I have tried all the fad diets going and while I often lose weight to begin with it is impossible to keep it off with these plans and I invariably end up putting on more weight than I started with.
What I was looking for in a diet and fitness plan was something that was truly sustainable so when I saw the claims being made on nutrifitcleaneating it looked like I had finally found the right kind of diet for me.
Firstly it was great to see that the entire plan was being led by someone who had real experience, not just some person sat at home behind a computer putting together eating plans without any real knowledge to back it up.
The eBook that I received through the nutrifitcleaneating plan was really easy to get in to and more importantly didn’t start by bogging me down in the detail – I am not a nutritionist and basically what I want to know is how to lose weight and how to keep it off I don’t want anything too technical!
There is a simple break down about exercise and a few tips on just why it is so important to do it regularly and then we are on to the nitty gritty and the details about what firstly I should not be eating if I want to lose weight and eat clean.
The list of what I could not eat was pretty overwhelming to begin with to be honest as it read like a diary of the foods I eat every day. I know that I do not have a very healthy diet and that I eat far too many foods that are not good for me but seeing them written down left me with a sinking feeling about whether or not I would be able to do this diet and stick to it so it was important for me to move quickly on to the foods that I could eat and this was a far more positive experience!
The list of top 10 healthy foods was very reassuring and made me think again that perhaps I was going to be able to handle the diet and as Nathan goes into detail about just why you should be eating these foods it becomes so obvious why eating clean should be a way of life for everyone, not just those wanting to lose weight.
It didn’t take a lot to convince me that the Nutrifit Clean Eating Plan was something that I really needed in my life and I also decided that it was something that my family needed in their life too as I don’t want them to eat the bad foods that cause illness and disease and want them to live long and healthy lives too so for me the Nutrifit Clean Eating Plan was excellent value because it was something for us all to benefit from!
The guide is so easy to use and contains lots of quick and easy hints throughout it. It was sent to me in pdf form and I decided to print it out straight away so that I could have a copy with me to hand if I ever had any questions because all you ned to know about eating clean is contained in these pages along with some great motivational advice to keep you on track.
What I found best for me to getting started was the weekly meal planner. Although the guidelines for the diet are really simple I have been cooking food that is unhealthy and bad for so long that I was struggling to come up with any ideas about what to make for each meal and this not only gave me the inspiration that I needed it also told me the portions I should be making and included snacks to help stave off any hunger pangs – perfect!
Some of the items on the weekly planner were new to me and I found that others were either really expensive or difficult to buy but there are many options available so you can mix and match many o the meals on the plan to fit with your budget and your own personal tastes.
I particularly giggled when I saw the kangaroo steak on the menu – now I am partial to trying new foods but this is not something I will be able to pick up at my local butcher!
With three weeks worth of meal planners followed by details about all of the dishes and clear guidelines about how much of each food you should be eating it was really easy to follow this diet – as long as I had my guide with me!
I found it hard to remember just how much salad I should be having with my protein and carbohydrates but basically after a couple of weeks I was getting used to how the meals should look on my plate.
Probably the most useful part of the entire eBook for me was the lists of the food types and the foods that were a yes on the menu and a no for me. Here it also gave clear guidelines about how many portions a day of each food group you should be looking to consume. I also loved the FAQ section which I found myself turning to quite often when I felt a little confused about something as most of the questions that I had were answered here and the rest I turned to Facebook to ask the questions that were not covered.
The second part of the eBook contained loads of recipes for each meal time and again these really opened my eyes as to what was possible when eating healthily.
Although again some of the ingredients were unfamiliar to me I found that by googling them I was able to find an equivalent in my local supermarket and thankfully all the recipes were in grammes and not in cups as I am not sure how patient I would have been having to convert them all over for me to understand them!
One of my favourite meals on the plan has to be the goats cheese and asparagus frittata – this one is a real favourite and all of my friends love it too – I haven’t told anyone that it is actually a recipe from the diet I am following because I don’t think they would believe me even if I did tell them!
I have been following the Nutrifit Clean Eating Plan from www.nutrifitcleaneating.com for some time now and I can honestly say that I am shocked by the difference in myself. Yes, I have lost weight but what is most noticeable is how great I actually feel. I have more energy, my hair and skin look brighter and better and I generally just feel well – and isn’t that what we are all really looking for from a diet plan?
For me the Nutrifit Clean Eating Plan is not a diet, it really is a way of life and it is one that myself and my family intend to stay on for the future, after all, why would I stop when I feel so great!
