Sofia is now three weeks old and my weight loss to date has not been as grand as I had hoped it would be. But then again as I keep telling myself I am not on a diet I just eat the bad things in moderation!
So after getting weighed last Tuesday – where did I go and have lunch? Oh yes you guessed it “McDonalds”! I don’t know what it is about the place but I can’t resist the place and because of this and other naughty treats I managed to exceed 2000 calories in one day. I could get away with this amount when I was pregnant but post pregnancy without a cute baby to share it with; it is heading straight for my super flabby stomach.
I had a wonderful McChicken meal with a smoothie and some chicken bites and then washed it down with a couple of slices of cream cake from the cake shop opposite.
We were rushing around doing the last bits of Christmas shopping with our baby in tow, realising that if we didn’t eat right now that we wouldn’t get fed for at least another 3 hours. Well it was the choice between this place and the Indian buffet and McDonalds would easily come in with less calories so why not?
Though, like a habit that is becoming us we told our son (who loves McDonalds) that we had not been out and it ended up being another secret parental trip out!
My Fitness This Week
From a fitness point of view, I have been enjoying a few things this week. I have been on the Wii Fit again and finally made it onto the toning exercises such as the Perfect 10 and the Tilted Table.
I am also enjoying dancing away with my baby to some lovely Christmas songs and looking forward to my first Christmas with my new baby after all you only have the one first Christmas the once!
My Diet This Week
After my McDonalds at the start of the week and knowing this is my last weigh in before Christmas I decided something had to be done to make this a happy one. Especially considering I am breast feeding and Dominic has lost more weight than me this week I need to do something!
The Results This Week
For this week I have gained three pounds, meaning that I weigh more now three weeks after giving birth than I did the day I came out of hospital:
This puts my weight loss at a total of just over 3 stone since I started my weight loss journey. I expect to gain some more weight over the next couple of weeks because I have Christmas coming up and I just can’t resist the chocolate.
On a plus side I have New Year among us soon, which usually means lots of detox and I expect a good weight loss throughout January.
I am also planning to have a two week break from calorie counting and will be back on it in the New Year!
