After publishing my first income report showing you how I make money with my weight loss blog it got me thinking about Fiverr as an income stream….
After all you just have to do some research on weight loss blogs and they are pretty much all monetised by either product reviews and Adsense. If you are going down the Adsense route you would need to have serious traffic to make a decent profit.
For example if I just had Adsense running on my site I would expect to make about $1.50 a day = $45 a month. However if I take that same amount of traffic with Fiverr I can earn an average of $3 per day. And this works out at $90 per month.
Therefore by making a little effort on Fiverr I can be talking about doubling my income on my weight loss blog.
Just think about those bloggers that earn lots of money – no of them rely on Adsense. They have their own products, affiliate other ones or provide advertising.
And this brings me to Fiverr…..
Fiverr has an Alexa rank of 132 putting their traffic levels higher than the Warrior Forum and making it an ideal place for you to sell advertising space.
When I search “Weight Loss” on there this is what I see:
I am result 2 and result 5. This has resulted in over 3,000 impressions in the last month and has generated me a lovely income stream.
I only have 11 gigs at the moment and over the coming months I am planning on expanding on this but first I wanted to share you some tips so that you can earn money on your weight loss blog with Fiverr:
It is all about the title and the tags
Now Fiverr is built on a lot of searches. This is because of the huge amount of gigs that are on there. So with this in mind you have to plan that your keywords are in the title and also appear in the tags. This way you can get the best results from them and get a much better position.
It is all about the picture
Pictures stand out. Pictures tell a story and with Fiverr the first thing you see is the picture.
Fiverr loves quality, unique and bright pictures. If you can create some amazing pictures this in itself can get you a much higher position on Fiverr and of course lead to more sales.
It is possible
Fiverr has always been associated with low paid work and rubbish. People selling their article writing services and making little money from it. Or paying for fake Twitter followers but there is more to it than this.
There are plenty of options (not just banner advertising) so think outside the box and look at what other people are successful in doing. Tweak it and then follow their lead.
There are many people on Fiverr that earn more than $1000 a month from it – so seriously consider it as an alternative to Adsense. Plus by doing it like this you can control exactly what goes on your account.
It takes time to build
Don’t expect to put a couple of gigs up and then suddenly be making $1000 a month from it as it doesn’t work like that. To get good results you need good positions in the Fiverr marketplace and you will only achieve this with a slow start.
Have Adsense on your website first, then as you build up your Fiverr gigs you can slowly replace them with paid banner adverts.
It has to be tweaked
You may find that some of your keywords are doing better than others and that you might come up with a new gig idea. In which case add the new one to the system and improve it until it is making you more and more money.
Look at the keywords others use in the titles and see where your own can be improved.
Yes it is really possible to make money on Fiverr with your weight loss blog. It is a fantastic alternative to Adsense for a long term income. But at the same time, you have to consider that advertising revenue can go up and down, so make sure it is not your only blog income stream.
Fiverr takes time to get perfect but when you do, the results will speak for themselves.
