So last week I mentioned the importance of blogging every day for 60 days in order for you to gain authority in the niche. I put the effort in and produced a blog post a day for 60 days on CavemanDietBlog. Most of the time I would do all the blog posts over two days a week and it was amazing that I managed to get so many posts out.
I want Google to associate me with just a few keywords in my niche so that they don’t get confused.
Therefore the content was written around a few phrases including:
- Caveman Diet
- Whole 30
- Paleo tips
And now a week and a bit after my 60 day blogging challenge has finished I have had a good look around my results and they are in…..
SEO Results (to date)
So the blog is 2.5 months old and it has now had its 60 days of blogging. I have spent nothing on advertising and my only expenses have been a small amount from graphics design. For things such as a logo, social media headers etc.
So looking at Google Webmaster Tools I can see that over the last two months I have had over 100 visitors to my website from Google. No pay per click has been used this is pure free traffic. Plus because I tend to keep my SEO positions in the long run this is me generating long term traffic to the site, just like I have done here on MWLD.
Then by looking at the impressions I can see that I already have 19 front page Google positions and it is growing by the day.
Here are my top 15 ranking keywords (so far):
Though no idea why anyone would search for Whole 30 and McDonalds in the same phrase 😉
I am really pleased with how the SEO is going so far and other traffic is doing okay as well. Especially, when I remember that I only started this project in the summer when the diet industry is normally going through a slow time.
For other traffic here is how well we have done:
As you can see the traffic I was pleased about on Google is just 7% of my traffic. I imagine that in the long term for this website to become a big traffic site, that it will need to be around the 35% (or higher) level.
Like many of my sites a third of it is already coming in from social media which is a dream come true for us and we plan to build on this more and more.
Our long term goal is to release a few ebooks for this blog and then to flip it for profit towards Easter time next year. Between now and then we just plan on carrying on with regular posting, generating new income streams and building up the site one step at a time.
I love doing it and the Paleo diet is a fantastic diet to write a blog around.
