Welcome to the August income report for Weight Loss Bloggers. Yet another month has passed by where we share how one of our blogs makes money. As an internet marketing coach many new coaching clients want to know what I get up to and how I make money away from the make money online niche and this is just ONE example.
I have many sources of internet income and this is your chance to get inside one of them. One blog that requires less of our time (as time has gone on) and now makes money no matter what. We always have new advertisers interested in advertising on it, just because it is a solid site that has been running for a few years now.
I love to share with my readers what we have been up to and how things are going on one of our sites and this is your chance to watch over our shoulder as we show you how it all comes together.
But you are in for a treat because this income report is going to be about two different sites from now on. This is because we now have another diet site and the plan is to create a video course from it (our first ever video course) and record everything in real time.
The CavemanDietBlog is now live and is in it’s first month. The first month of content. The first month to drive traffic and the first month of some basic monetisation.
The success of My Weight Loss Dream has always been about finding a micro niche (Slimming World) and then building traffic and income streams surrounding it. I wanted to show you that this can be done multiple times and that by avoiding general weight loss tips sites (that are very hard to rank for) that you can create site after site of passive income.
The Caveman Diet Blog is based around the Paleo & Whole 30 Diet. In the beginning it is all about getting lots of quality content out, lots of social media and driving organic traffic to the site. And this is what you will see if you visit the site.
I will now be including it in income reports so that you can see for yourself how we do things and how blogs can be built from scratch.

More information on our revenue & profit during August 2015:
As you know we have had our time taken up away from My Weight Loss Dream this month. We have been spending our time putting a new site together and working on our other blogs away from the diet niche.
I calculated it and we spent just 6 hours during the month on the site. This means that the site earned $179.01 per hour for the time spent on it. In my mind this is fantastic. I charge $50 an hour when I personally work with clients, yet here I am sat on an income stream that brings in more than triple that!
My expenses for my outsourcing team are high this month and this is because of all the work involved in setting up a new site. You are starting with logos, infographics text and design, blog post graphics, blog posts and the list goes on and on.
For a new site the Caveman Diet Blog is running off daily blog posts for its first couple of months and then it will be more likely to be a typical twice a week schedule. I then plan on selling it in the New Year along with this site.
Nearly $300 in ebook sales this month (without any marketing). This is great going, because this is all about the ebooks being submitted and then the sites generating the traffic and me having a totally passive income. I could of course make an effort and sell a lot more, but with other priorities I can’t complain at all!
Fiverr sales have not increased (even though you would think they had based on the figures) it is just more a case of people spending more per customer than they did before. We now regularly get orders for $25 compared to $5-$10 that we experienced before.
Traffic During August & A Change In Stats
Normally this is the time when you can look at our traffic for the month. Well sadly I have no screenshots to share with you!!!!
The reason for this is because we have moved from Statcounter to Google Analytics. There are a few reasons why we moved, mainly because we wanted more information and secondly when we sell this blog in early 2016 it is so much easier to do with verified Google Analytics.
Even though I don’t cope very well with change, I am getting used to Google Analytics quicker than I thought I would!
But because we changed partly through the month it is hard to produce traffic results so we are taking a break from our traffic this month and we will be back with our traffic as usual next month.
Next on the agenda is a whole variety of things. We are currently doing daily posts on Caveman Diet Blog and this is time consuming. Especially, when we are posting videos each day with each post. When we have finished this it will be nice to have some normality and then we can go back to an average blogging calendar and work on promotions for both sites.
We plan to go to target with our weight loss later this year, so the end game is all about getting both sites ready for sale. You could call this a long blog flip or a short term business, either way we have had a great time with it and we are looking forward to what later this year and next year has to bring our way.
