Welcome to the latest income report at Weight Loss Bloggers. We started the income reports on here so that we can share with you, just one of our sites that makes up our six figure online blogging business.
Here I am back again with another month with our income report for Weight Loss Bloggers. My Weight Loss Dream was set up in 2012 as a website sharing our weight loss journey. We have a whole range of passive income blogs and we love the idea of making a passive income from our own life experiences, rather than just grabbing any micro niche and hoping that it will turn a profit.
Thanks to this site we have not only lost a lot of weight (11 stone between us) but we have created a passive income that requires very little work and there has not been one moment of writers block due to us writing about what we love.
I see that many weight loss sites that fail and I often put this down to a lack of passion and a lack of regular content. If you can do these two things then you have it made. Then build up your site, or like us build lots of different sites.
But I am sure you just want to know what we have been up to. Well it has been a quiet month as we have taken time off for Dominic’s birthday and to enjoy the last of the summer holidays before Kyle went back to school.

The Latest On Caveman Diet Blog
As you know we have been working on our new site CavemanDietBlog.com and it is now in its second month. It has had its first bit of Adsense income and we are now monetising it ready for when we throw lots of traffic at it.
Our biggest thing is starting the list building and we now have our product in place and it will be on the Kindle by the time you read this blog post. This will also mean that we will be able to start the process of driving traffic via PPC ads and really moving it forward.
But because it has just had its first bout of content it is already ranking on its own for SEO and it is gathering a social media presence at the same time.
As you can see from above it is already generating Google clicks and it is nice to see our impressions growing as we add more and more content. We are still following the blog every day for 60 days rule and once we have done this, we will then have more time to put into the marketing side of things.
It is also generating traffic from Pinterest (thanks to quick acceptable on Pinterest Groups) and is growing at a steady rate. After also remember everything we have done so far is FREE.
Now to say that we have had over 700 uniques already for a free blog that is less than 60 days old, really does make me smile!
For October our plan is to get our free ebook set up into a sales funnel and to run affiliate products off the back of it and we will let you know next month how that has gone.
Tying Loose Ends On My Weight Loss Dream
So I have not kept it a secret that I plan to sell MWLD next year. I have quite a bit of work to do to it first, but it will be all done by Christmas so that I can work on heavy promotions when the diet world is at it’s strongest and then sell.
The reason for this is because I was building this blog as a way of sharing my weight loss and how to make $500 a month from a passive blog. Well I have achieved all this. I am no longer fat, the site generally always hits the $500 target and now it is ready for someone new to add a touch of their magic.
More information on our traffic during September 2015:
We missed talking about our traffic last month due to us moving onto Google Analytics. So it is so nice to back now with this traffic slot back in our income reports.
Firstly, it feels really weird using Google Analytics and I am still getting used to it. I went onto Analytics because when I want to sell it people will want proof of traffic and a lot of people don’t trust sites that are not on Google Analytics so I thought I better transfer it over. (or alternatively get yourself a nice husband that does it for you!!!!)
My page loads are at 74,572 so there is really not much in it between tracking the statistics on this site and via using Statcounter and when Google is free why not move?
Plus what I like above the screenshot above is that it shows that the majority of my traffic comes from search engine optimisation, followed by social media and how much for everything. It is interesting to think that nearly 80% of my overall traffic is via the main two sources that most people dream about for their sites.
This month our time will be juggled between the two sites. Getting the rest of the posts done for Caveman Diet Blog and the ebooks for it live on Kindle. We will be starting with three ebooks and then adding some more later. We then plan to rank for them for easy keywords on Amazon and then go from there with it. We also plan to get the sales funnel set up and producing sales.
In regards to My Weight Loss Dream the time in October is being spent with finally going to our weight loss targets. I have just 12 pounds to lose (at the start of September) and I cant wait to finally see that number on the scales. Then it is a case of getting the last of the products out and concentrating on promotion.
It is certainly going to be a packed month for us!
