Happy boxing day and welcome to the new you and your new Slimming World way of life.
Did you know that as an unofficial Slimming World Blog that over the next 7 days we will receive 200% our usual traffic?
This is because at this time of year people are more interested in their diets than any other time of year. They have binged through Christmas after being strict just before and now they have their excesses to lose.
I also find that the binge vs healthy thing runs throughout our blog such as being very quiet on a Saturday when they are out at McDonalds to getting high traffic numbers on a Sunday night when they are back on their best behaviour again!
But what I have to say to those of you that become my high visitor traffic today is this:
Your Slimming World Diet Starts Today!
Who cares what you ate yesterday or the day before, or that you binged on mince pies or sausage rolls. You have no time machine so what really counts is what you do from this week forward.
But the good news is this:
Your body gains weight or loses it based on the amount of calories that you have. If you half your calories (based on what you had the week before) then you can expect to lose at least 5 pounds. Over Christmas it is expected that you consume 3000 calories a day, so just by following Slimming World with 10 Syns a day, you can expect a BIG weight loss.
And because your body loses weight regularly when you give it decent quality food you can expect to be a good 14 pounds lighter by this time next month. That is unless you carry on bingeing until New Years Day!!!!
Even though I always gain weight after Christmas thanks to exercise I manage to keep it down to a minimum, but in the old days I could easily put on 10 pounds of more, just from enjoying everything I shouldn’t over Christmas.
Get your head around the Slimming World diet. Enjoy it, enjoy the food changes and most of all make sure you use up all those leftover vegetables from Christmas!!!!
And remember the new YOU starts now and don’t worry about what you’ve eaten already.
